I still remember the first time I met this lovely and kind lady, Yuxin, who is my colleague Xinyu's wife and a passionate Chinese medical student. We didn't talk quite much, but I did appreciate learning something quite important and useful from her. That is, a human body is not merely a complex machine that necessarily requires every part working compatibly together, but far beyond that and includes humanity and spirits. It is a great joy once I heard she was pregnant and really close to give birth to her first child, mostly a boy. Xinyu mentioned a couple of times to me if I would love to come and take some photos for them, more importantly, for the memory of their future family. Frankly speaking, I don't know, or to put it in another way, I may not be ready yet. Being some new babies' parents is such an intense and huge responsibility for anyone, and how I can make them feel easy and joyful about this great life change is what I am thinking and try to achieve. But as time goes by, they can't wait any more. I must go!
The weather didn't seem to be quite sunny that day, but our hearts all couldn't be more exciting. Yuxin, just like before, gently standing or sitting there, enjoying the quiet moments with her baby inside. We were not able to go very far, so I ended up with taking a couple of frames around their neighborhood. And in this early morning after a week of this session, I got a message from Xinyu saying their son is coming! I couldn't help but put down my phone, open this new blog post and believe there shouldn't be a better time to show them these beautiful maternity memories we had in that day.
