The Wave and The Particle

"The Wave and The Particle" is an electronic rock band started in 2014, led by my colleague and friend Vasiliy Sharikov-Bass. They borrowed the ideas from progressive, post-industrial, gothic rock and symphonic metal. As they are working towards an EP and some live performances, some publication commercials are in need. When asked if I'd like to come and do this commercial headshot by Vasiliy, I thought thoroughly and exchanged some ideas with him. Finally, we decided to make it at one of their rehearsals in San Jose and make it as "natural" as possible. Below are a few of my favorites from this commercial portrait session.

All images were taken by Leica M9 + Summarit-M 35 f/2.5 and Voigtlander Nokton 50 f/1.1.
