My 1st wedding in 2013 came in an extremely tight timeline. Most of times I only had a few seconds to one or two minutes in making a shot that I plan to do, and never had a second chance if I didn't get it on my 1st trial. That's probably another reason why I loved hooting weddings so much, lots of challenges and myriads of surprises. Though I was placed into such challenging situations, Debbie and Rodrick were so nice that gave me full trust and understanding to make these shots come true. Their ceremony was held in a Roman Catholic church in Albany, "Church of The Blessed Sacrament", which is absolutely grand and stunning that I just couldn't help taking a few shots for the church itself during the whole ceremony. Their reception was hosted in the beautiful Troy Country Club, which is so close to my place while I've never been there before in the past few years. I'm really grateful to the manager and assistants there offering me any help that I needed in the middle of reception.
B.T.W., this is also my 1st wedding that was shot almost completely with a single Canon 6D plus my beloved EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS II. After switching back and forth between Canon and Nikon due to some technical issues of focus and ISO performance, I found big confidence from Canon through this piece of equipment again. It's such an amazing camera that focused really fast and accurate even in the really low light situation, and ISO performance is beyond stunning. Some of my reception shots were done in ISO above 6400, 8000 or even above, and the images turned out to be really crisp and clean. Below are some of my favorites, enjoy ~~~
