The definition of beauty is really obscure, subjective and most of times, emotional! I intended to kiss a girl's smile at my college age, yet I never did as a beautiful smile was too fragile for a single touch, even it was tiny and gentle. I never dreamed that I would end up being a photographer after being a Ph.D. in science and engineering, my family was shocked, like they never knew me from the beginning. I am a fragile creature, looking opaque externally yet transparent inside. I used my mind to observe, think and then describe the world around me, black or white, heavy or light, sorrow or glad. Through my lens, I captured every single moment that I am desired to touch un-phsysically, in this way they wouldn't break and disappear, even though they are fragile.
In the HK classic movie "Ashes of Time", I remembered this quote "When you can't have it any more, all you can do is to remind yourself to never forget." That's why I feel so comfortable and safe under the dome of photography. Once I recorded them, they will be there along with me until the day heaven and earth meet.
I can't remember how many times I missed the evanescent moments of beauty and peace, and I don't know how many more I will capture and miss. Lost and found, a circle of dream chasing, never ends in its own way. Everybody has his/her own understanding of photography, for me, it's turning to be a life style and attitude. It's just internally, spiritually natural.
Lauren came to my Dream Catcher Project as a model for a club group shoot session. When I first contacted her through internet, I felt something special from her. Being a graphic artist, Lauren really had some idea of showing her unique beauty and delicacy in her understanding of modeling art. And the results turned out to be full of stunning colors, textures and emotions. I loved what I saw from this beautiful young lady, that's why I took all of them, frame by frame. And I am pretty sure I will enjoy these beautiful captures in a long time, which will keep reminding me of so many beautiful subjects outside that I never want to miss. I still remember the excitation when I shot a similar session in the same location with Alysha Lee one year ago, and now it passed down to me again with Lauren. I won't be too surprised to enjoy this once again in the future, just like what I said, the circle of dream chasing never ends in its way, neither does this project. Please relax and enjoy ~~~
