Last weekend I went to NYC to visit my friend Chris Chen, who has been a wedding photographer for over 7 years in the City. Chris had an engagement session in Brooklyn that day, so he asked if I would like to assist him and hang out together. Of course I loved this idea, not only did I have the great opportunity to watch how Chris worked through the session, but also I could try something new in a big city scenario. Since last time when I was assisting Ryan at San Francisco for his engagement session, I became fascinated in one body + one lens combo to travel. For me, it's again Leica M8 + Summarit-M 35. The rangefinder camera definitely has its own big limitations, yet it's so light and unobtrusive to carry and photograph, making all of the limitations forgivable regarding the essence of photography itself.

OC and VR are such a wonderful couple that feel so comfortable and natural in front of our lenses, which made the whole session a really enjoyable experience. I would love to thank Chris Chen to allow me share a few of my frames taken alongside with him during this session, and you may check Chris' photography works in his website (Chris Chen Studios).

All of the images below were taken by Leica M8 + Summarit-M 35 f/2.5 in ambient light.
